Yellow has become the Portuguese capital’s unofficial colour. The sunny pigment is used on the old tram cars and on many facades in historic neighborhoods like Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa and Belém. Warm yellow also is often seen on the enchanting Portugese tiles called azulejos.
