Waldtraut vom Mühlwald is a Douglas fir which is known as the tallest tree in Germany. It measures 65.8 meters and is over 100 years old. The tree with the beautiful name can be found in the Arboretum Freiburg-Günterstal in the most southern part of the city. Waldtraut vom Mühlwald symbolizes the fact that Freiburg is a city with a lot of green spaces and many sustainable initiatives.
