Leeuwarden prints

About the colour: Escher Metamorphose II green

M.C. Escher from Leeuwarden (1898 – 1972) was a graphic genius who made woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. Despite wide popular interest, Escher was for long somewhat neglected in the art world. But in the twenty-first century, he became more widely appreciated, with exhibitions across the world. His mathematically-inspired works are mind-boggling and endlessly fascinating.
