About the colour: Mies van der Rohe Superior Graphite #30
The world famous architect and designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) was born in Aachen and died in Chicago where he lived and worked for a long time. Steel was a favourite building material of Van der Rohe. He often had it painted in a very dark color: Superior Graphite # 30 from the now defunct company Detroit Graphite.
